EITI brings together researchers working on empirical aspects of international trade and investment, with a particular focus on the Asia-Pacific region. EITI focuses on supporting early-career researchers by bringing them together with senior economists. Started by Jon Haveman and Fukunari Kimura, the conference has been held annually in Japan since 2007, fostering collaboration between researchers across the globe.
