Empirical Trade Online Seminar

FREIT and Georgia Institute of Technology hosted an online seminar series for international trade economists conducted via Zoom. The seminar took place every Wednesday while the COVID-19 pandemic lasted.

ETOS provided a regular forum for researchers to present and discuss their work when in-person conferences were not feasible.

Rules

The seminar rules governed participation in the weekly ETOS sessions. Key guidelines included:

  • Seminars were held every Wednesday via Zoom
  • Each session featured one presenter with a designated discussant
  • Participants were expected to have read the paper in advance
  • Questions and discussion were encouraged throughout the presentation
  • Papers were circulated to registered participants in advance of the seminar

Registration

Registration for ETOS was required to receive Zoom links and paper circulations. As ETOS is currently on hiatus, registration is no longer active.
