About this edition
The Department of Economics at the University of Cagliari and the Department of Economics, Management and Quantitative Methods of the University of Milan jointly organize the Sardinia Empirical Trade Conference which will take place in Alghero, Italy. Economists specializing in empirical economic research on issues relating to international trade and investment will present their latest research at this meeting.
The conference is open to other attendees whose papers are not on the program. Space is limited and will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis for those not on the program.
Organizers
Format
The conference will take place on Monday and Tuesday, starting Monday morning and finishing Tuesday afternoon. The program will include a total of 12 papers, with one hour per paper devoted to presentation, discussant remarks, and open discussion. The usual allocation of time is 40 minutes for the presentation, 10 minutes for the discussant, and 10 minutes for open discussion.
All participants are expected to attend all sessions on both days of the conference.

Graduate Student Competition
To encourage the participation of graduate students, SETC holds a graduate student paper competition. Graduate students are strongly encouraged to submit their work. From the papers submitted, we will select at least one for inclusion on the program. Learn more about the competition on the graduate student competition page.
The best graduate student paper winner will receive a €500 prize.
