About this edition
The Graduate School of Business at Nazarbayev University and the Department of Economics and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology jointly organize the inaugural Silk Road Empirical Trade Conference in Astana, Kazakhstan. Economists specializing in empirical economic research on issues relating to international trade and investment will present their latest research at this meeting.
The conference is open to other attendees whose papers are not on the program. Space is limited and will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis for those not on the program.
Organizers
Format
The conference will start Friday morning and run through Saturday afternoon. The program will include a total of 12 papers, with one hour per paper devoted to presentation, discussant remarks, and open discussion. The usual allocation of time is 40 minutes for the presentation, 10 minutes for the discussant, and 10 minutes for open discussion.
All participants are expected to attend all sessions on the two days of the conference.
