The University of Calgary will host the thirteenth annual Rocky Mountain Empirical Trade Conference in Banff, Canada. Economists specializing in empirical economic research on issues relating to international trade and investment will present their latest research at this meeting.
The conference will take place at the Banff Centre in the heart of Banff National Park. Banff is a spectacular location and is beautiful in the spring time. The conference organizers are planning activities to take advantage of the unique location, including a welcoming beer night at Banff Centre Pub, morning running tours of Banff, and an afternoon hike to Tunnel Mountain and/or Sulfur Mountain which includes a gondola ride and a visit to hot pools.
The conference is open to other attendees whose papers are not on the program. Space is limited and will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis for those not on the program.
Organizers
Format
The conference will begin in the morning on Friday and will continue through Sunday at noon. The program will include a total of 15 papers, with one hour per paper devoted to presentation (40 mins), discussant remarks (10 mins), and open discussion (10 mins).
All participants are expected to attend all sessions on the three days of the conference.
